Nobody should have to guess what a haircut costs, and almost no salon will tell you before you are in the chair. Here is our full price list — every service, in plain ranges — followed by an honest explanation of what moves a price within its range. Your exact number is always confirmed before the service starts, and it does not change at the register.

These are not budget prices and we will not pretend they are. They are the going rate for unhurried, experienced work in an accessible salon, quoted in advance rather than discovered at checkout.

What Actually Moves a Price Within Its Range

Ranges are not haggling room — they reflect real differences in the work. Four things decide where you land:

Length and density. A pixie cut and waist-length hair are different jobs wearing the same name. More hair means more cutting, more rollers, more color, more dryer time. Most of every range is simply this.

Time. Thickened toenails that need patient reduction, a set on very long hair, a perm wrap with extra rods — honest time gets priced honestly, and quoted up front.

Product. Color services vary with how much color your hair actually requires. Heavy regrowth needs more than a four-week touch-up; an added gloss to refresh the ends adds modestly and only with your say-so.

Corrective work. Blending out an old home-dye job or repairing a previous cut takes more doing than maintaining an established style. We price the reality and explain it first.

What never moves the price: your enthusiasm, your unfamiliarity with salon costs, or an assumption you will not ask. Every client hears the number before we begin.

The First Visit Sets Your Number

New clients get their exact price at the consultation, before anything starts — scissors, color, or soak. After that, your price is settled knowledge: standing weekly clients for a shampoo and set know their cost to the dollar, month after month, which is precisely how budgeting on a fixed income should work. If a price ever needs to change — yours or the list’s — you hear it from us in advance, never from the receipt.

If money is tight, say so plainly and we will respond in kind: which parts of a service can be skipped, how far a visit interval can honestly stretch, and what the cheapest good option is. There is no shame in the question. We would rather trim the service than lose the client, and we will never make you feel small for asking.

In-Home Visits: One Simple Formula

Home visits cost the service price plus a $25–$40 travel fee — nothing else. No mobile surcharge on the services, no minimums, no fine print. Central Lincoln and Sun City Lincoln Hills sit at the low end of the travel range; Sheridan, Rocklin, and Roseville toward the top, quoted exactly when you book. Multiple services in one visit, or a husband and wife both getting cuts, still pay a single travel fee — which often makes the in-home visit the best value on this page.

One limit worth knowing before you plan around it: in-home visits cover haircuts, shampoo and sets, roller sets, blowouts, and styling. Color, perms, and nail services are salon-only — California permits a stylist to perform only a defined list of services outside a licensed salon, and chemical work is excluded. Anyone offering to color or perm your hair at home is not permitted to do it.

Combining Services Sensibly

Plenty of clients stack a visit: a cut with a set, color finished with a blowout, a manicure done during dryer time. Combined visits are priced as the plain sum of the services — no bundle theater, no upsell script — and they save something better than money: a second trip. If you are arranging rides or budgeting your energy, tell us everything you would like done and we will say honestly what fits well into one sitting and what deserves its own day.

Paying Is Easy

Cash, check, or card, whichever suits you. If a son or daughter manages the finances from out of town, we will happily arrange payment with them directly — it is one of the most common arrangements we make, and it takes one phone call to set up.
